Sagging breasts after breastfeeding or excessive weight loss. Breast tissue loss and fading may occur. With surgery, the breasts are lifted to the upper area where they should be and are lifted, and if their own tissue is not sufficient, they are filled with silicone prosthesis and made fuller, upright and more shaped.
Before the surgery, a detailed interview and examination is made, blood tests, heart electrocardiography and lung x-ray are taken, and the approval of the anesthesiologist is obtained. If there is breast cancer in the patient's family, mammography and breast ultrasound are performed for patients over the age of 35 and all patients over the age of forty.
The surgery is performed in a fully equipped hospital under general anesthesia (full sleep) and the surgery takes approximately 2-3 hours. An incision is made depending on the degree of sagging. If the sagging is minimal, an incision is made only around the nipple, the breast is lifted and the silicone prosthesis is placed under the muscle.
If the sagging is moderate, a 5-6 cm vertical incision is made around the nipple and below the nipple (popularly called lollipop incision), the breast is lifted and the silicone prosthesis is placed under the muscle.
If the sagging is excessive, an inverted T-shaped incision is made, the breast is lifted and the silicone prosthesis is placed under the muscle.
The patient comes out of the surgery wearing a special bra, begins eating and drinking 4-6 hours after the surgery, the patient can use his arms enough to eat, drink and take care of himself on the same day, and is discharged the next day. It is recommended to use antibiotics and painkillers for about a week
The patient can be washed two days after the discharge date, no dressing is done, and no stitches are removed because dissolvable stitches are used.
One week of absolute rest is recommended, one week later one can start working life and daily activities, one must wear a special bra for about 1 month.
Silicone prostheses can remain in the body for life if there are no problems, there is no need to change them.
Since the milk ducts and milk glands are preserved in breast lift and silicone prosthesis surgery, the patient can later become pregnant and breastfeed her baby.
