Due to excessive weight loss or over the years, there may be a loss of volume in the hip and falling or sagging. In this case, the hip may need to be filled and lifted up. The following procedures can be done for this:
- Enlargement and erection with silicone prosthesis
- fat injection
- Filling and lifting the hip with its own tissue
Among these procedures, fat injection into the hip is the riskiest method as it carries the risk of embolism and death as a result of the fat entering the large vessels in the hip and blocking the lung vessels.
It is important to reveal the problem in detail by conducting a detailed interview and examination before the surgery. Again, before the surgery, blood tests, heart electrocardiography and lung x-ray are taken, and the approval of the anesthesiologist is obtained.
The surgery is performed in a full-fledged hospital under general anesthesia (full sleep).
If a silicone prosthesis is to be made, an incision of approximately 4-5 cm is made and silicone prostheses specially produced for the butt are placed above or below the muscle.
If the lift and filling procedure will be performed with the person's own tissue, a horizontal incision is made at the level of the upper butt line and excess skin is removed, and the fat tissue under the excess skin is brought to the area where fullness is desired and filled with hip tissue.
If fat injection is to be performed, first of all, the person must have enough fat to be injected into the abdomen, waist or hip area. This excess fat is removed with the help of a special cannula by entering through a small hole, and after undergoing special procedures, it is injected into the buttock by entering through a small hole.
The patient is fed 4-6 hours after the surgery, can eat, drink and take care of himself on the same day, can walk after eating, is hospitalized and discharged for a day, and can return to his normal life in about a week - 10 days.
